National Marriage CoalitionWhy Marriage Matters

The National Marriage Coalition was formed to conduct the National Marriage Forum in 2004....

The main aim was to uphold marriage and ask the Australian federal government to amend the Marriage Act to ensure that marriage is ONLY between a man and a woman.

The National Marriage Coalition was responsible for publishing the booklet '21 Reasons Why Marriage Matters' at the National Marriage Forum in 2004, which was one of the events leading up to the passing of the amendment to the Marriage Act that ensures that marriage is ONLY between a man and a woman.

The founding members of the NMC are the Australian Christian Lobby, the Australian Family Association, and the Fatherhood Foundation.

Salt Shakers contributed to the production of materials for the Forum and promoted it to readers.
